Dry out that soap
If the shelves in your shower stay too wet and make the soap 'melt', put it in a net produce bag and hang it over the shower head or faucet. It will dry out between showers and last longer.

Shower Time!
Try to take your shower between sunup and sundown to avoid having to use the bathroom light. Light bulbs in a bathroom should last years, even if they're not the long lasting kind.

The Ultimate Cheap Shower
I can take a shower and wash my (long) hair in two gallons of water. It's a lot easier than it sounds. Fill two one gallon containers with warm water then stand in the tub or shower. Pour enough water over your head to wet your hair, put down the container, shampoo and pour enough water to rinse. You'll be thoroughly wet by this time, so lather up all over. Pour the remaining gallon or so over yourself to rinse and you're done.

Saving more water
When you shower, besides setting a bucket under the faucet to catch what runs out before it warms up, plug the drain and use the shower water to flush the toilet. Flushing takes a lot of water, even if you have one of those new low water toilets.
