Easy composting even in the winter

If you garden at all, never throw out water in which you've cooked vegetables, potatoes or pasta. It contains valuable nutrients, so pour it on your garden, even in the winter. Don't put salt in it, though.

You can also pour it onto new brick or stonework to hasten along the aging process.
