Keep safety razors sharp longer

While vegetable oil works to keep safety razors from rusting, it can be messy. Instead, put a little rubbing alcohol in a small container and store your razor in it after each use.

Stretch shoes that are too tight

To stretch genuine leather shoes, mix equal parts water and rubbing alcohol and get the inside of the shoe wet where you wish it to stretch. A squirt bottle works great.

Homemade ice pack

Mix one part rubbing alcohol and two parts water in a ziplock type of plastic bag and freeze. The rubbing alcohol keeps it from freezing solid so the pack will conform to any part of your body. Wrap in a cloth to use.
