Save shampoo

Don't toss that shampoo bottle because it looks empty. Instead, put a tablespoon or so of water in it and swish it around. There's plenty of shampoo stuck to the sides and under the cap to wash your hair at least once more.

Buy a full bottle

When you buy dish detergent, syrup or oil, etc, in a clear bottle, get the bottle that's filled the highest. There can sometimes be as much as a half cup difference. You're paying for it; why not?

Make toilet bowl cleaning easier

An empty liquid dish soap bottle makes a great "squirter" for under the rim of the toilet stool. Put bleach water or vinegar in it, squirt and let it set, then brush and flush.
