How to save water, tip number 1,452

So you know to turn off the water when you brush your teeth, you flush the toilet with your bath water, water the house plants with leftover water. Do you use dish water to mop the kitchen? If you use a dishwasher, it may be harder to do, but on the occasion when you make up a pan or sink of dish water, don't let it go to waste. If there are suds left, it will clean your kitchen floor. Saves water and soap.

I'll use the drain water from the washing machine for flushing the toilet. Also, in the summer, the water from the de-humidifier goes into the water for flushing bucket.

Good ideas, Arthur. Water from the dehumidifier can also be used to water houseplants.

I know it may sound a bit odd, but I usually water a couple of the plants in our conference room by pouring in all of the leftover coffee. On occasion I follow up with dumping in the coffee grounds. The plants look fabulous!

Great advice, I have taken water from the sink and did the dishes and then mopped the floor. Works very well.
